Butterscotch Apple Crumb Pie

Ingredients
- Filling
- 1/2 lbs Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 1 Cup (6oz) butterscotch flavored morsels
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 Tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 (9") unbaked pie shell
- Topping
- 1 Cup butterscotch-flavored morsels
- 1/4 Cup (1/2 stick) butter
- 3/4 Cup flour
- 1/8 Tsp salt

Preparation
Step 1
Filling
In a large bowl combine apples, 1 cup butterscotch morsels, flour, and cinnamon
Stir until well mixed
Spoon into pie shell
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
Topping
Place 1 cup butterscotch morsels and butter in a medium saucepan
Stir over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is smooth; remove from heat
Stir in flour and salt; mix until blended
Crumble topping over apple pie and bake an additional 30 minutes or until apples are tender
Presentation - serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired
