  • 1 c. real butter (2 sticks)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. sifted cake flour
  • 1 T. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1-8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 6 whole eggs
  • Pinch salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and Crisco, gradually add sugar, beat at medium speed. Add cream cheese, beating until light and fluffy. Alternately add flour, sugar, and eggs to batter, ending with flour. Add pinch of salt. Pour batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes until
is done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
