  • 16 lb Turkey
  • Lawrys
  • Natures Seasoning
  • 1 apple chopped
  • 2 carrots chopped
  • 2 celery sticks chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Spray Butter

Preparation

Step 1

On Wednesday prep the turkey by removing giblets from neck and body. Rinse bird with water inside and out. Pat dry. Attach wing tips with skewers. Pull neck skin back and skewer. Tuck ends of legs under band of skin across tail and tie with white cotton string. Place 1/2 the veggies and apple into the turkey cavity cover and refrigerate. On Thursday, remove ingredients from cavity. Season inside of turkey and add remaining 1/2 veggies. Season outside of Turkey. Close us cavity (neck & chest) by skewering it shut.

Grease your pan and add 1 can chicken broth to the bottom. Grease your rack. Place turkey on rack. Spray outside of turkey with spray butter.
Cook 16 min per pound at 325. Half way through, cut legs free. Meat thermometer should read 185-190.
