Basil Roasted Strawberries with Yogurt

Ingredients
- 1 pint (2 cups) strawberries, rinsed, hulled
- 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- Fresh basil leaves, if desired
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper or foil. Cut strawberries either in half or into quarters (strawberries pieces should be all the same size). Place berries on cookie sheet. Sprinkle dried basil over berries; toss gently. Spread in single layer. Bake 10 minutes. Turn berries; bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until soft. Into each of 4 serving bowls, spoon 1/4 cup yogurt. Top each with strawberries. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Note:
Strawberries will be sweet, however for an even sweeter dessert, drizzle with honey.
For an extra crunch, add a few tablespoons of granola or nuts.
