ROMERTOPF - Roman Pot Pork

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Roasting Pork
  • and
  • 1 tsp bread crumbs
  • 2 pealed tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • caraway seeds
  • or
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 peppercorns
  • 1 bay leaf
  • or
  • 4 sliced apples
  • or
  • rub meat with rosemary

Preparation

Step 1

Place meat and selected spices in soaked Romertopf for 2 hours at 400⁰F.
Return the Romertopf to the oven without the lid or liquid for ten minutes or until the meat is nicely browned.
