Ingredients
- 1 Cup Cornmeal
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 Tbs. Baking Powder
- 2 Tbs. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 Egg, well-beaten
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1/4 Cup Melted Shortening
- 1/4 Cup Bacon, diced, crisp

Preparation
Step 1
Combine dry ingredients. Beat egg and milk and shortening. Add bacon. Add to dry ingredients and stir only until mixed. Pour in a greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 425 degrees for approximately 20 minutes. If desired, all cornmeal can be used.
