Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic (from a jar)
- 1 cup uncooked Arborio rice or regular short-grain white rice
- 1 pouch (9 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy roasted garlic with chicken stock cooking sauce
- 2 cups cooked cubed chicken
- 1 box (9 oz) frozen baby sweet peas, thawed
Preparation
Step 1
1 Melt 2 tablespoons butter in 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Stir in garlic; cook about 1 minute or until tender. Add rice; cook 2 minutes; stir.
2 Add 1 1/2 cups water; heat to boiling. Boil 2 minutes. Stir in cooking sauce; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add chicken and peas.
3 Cover; cook 15 minutes, stirring twice. Remove from heat; let stand about 5 minutes or until rice is tender.
Substitute sliced cooked mushrooms for the peas. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
