Italian Choc-Spice-Ball cookies

Ingredients

  • glaze:
  • 1 c margarine
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 t cinnamon
  • 3/4 t ground black pepper
  • 3/4 t ground cloves
  • 1/2 c frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 c flour
  • 3 t baking powder
  • 1/4 c choc chips*
  • raisins, dates, nuts all optional
  • 3 c conf sugar
  • 4 1/2 T milk
  • 1 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400. mix margarine, sugar by hand. Stir in cocoa and spices. Stir in juice and eggs. Stir flour and powder in bowl, add to batter. Stir in chips. Form into tablespoonfuls, place on sheet, bake 10 min. Cool completely.
Stir conf sugar, milk and vanilla in bowl til smooth. Dip cookies into glaze, let excess drip off. Arrange on racks. When dry, turn over to dry other side.
