Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 3 tbs. tomato paste
- 2 tbs. fresh chopped basil
- 1 tbs. sugar
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- Cheese:
- 2 cups shredded white American cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterrey Jack
- 3 drops of liquid smoke
- Dough:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tbs. corn starch
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbs. olive oil
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl.
Mix the cheese ingredients together in a separate bowl.
In a third bowl, mix wet dough ingredients (water and oil). Then add dry dough ingredients (flour, corn starch, sugar, baking powder, salt).
Knead dough into a ball on counter, then divide in half (makes 2 pizzas). On floured parchment paper, make thin 12 inch pie. Place parchment paper on back side (inverted) cookie tray. Add half the sauce onto dough, then half the cheese.
Preheat oven to 475 degrees and have stone inside warming for 30 min.
Slide parchment paper from cookie tray onto stone and cook for 9-12 min.
Repeat for second pie. Cut pizza into squares to serve.
