Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 large pkg. (5 oz.) vanilla instant pudding
  • 2-1/2 cups milk
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 container (8 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • chocolate syrup

Step 1

In medium saucepan, bring water and butter to boil. Add flour all at once and stir to form a ball on low heat. Remove from heat and add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each, until smooth. Spread in a ungreased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 400º for 25 to 30 minutes.

Cool completely. This will appear all "bumpy" and uneven on top, so don't panic thinking you did something wrong.

In electric mixer bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy; gradually add a little of the milk, beating until smooth. Add pudding mix and remaining milk, beating together well on low to medium speed. Put on top of cold base. Cover with whipped topping and drizzle with chocolate syrup. Refrigerate until serving time.
