Cakes: Aunt Jo's Birthday Cake

Ingredients

• 2 sticks butter
• 1 box confectioner's sugar
• 4 eggs
• 3 cups flour
• 1 t baking powder
• 1 t salt
• 1 cup milk
• 1 1/2 t vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, 1 at a time.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Mix and set aside, 1 cup milk and vanilla.
Mix 1/3 flour mixture to creamed batter. Mix well.
Add 1/2 milk mixture. Mix well.
Alternate dry and liquid ingredients, mixing well after each.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
