Step 1

Mix 1 1/2 c balsamic vinegar, 1/2 c packed brown sugar, 1 star anise and 2 sticks cinnamon. Simmer until reduced about 1/3, or about 45 minutes. Can back it in a jar with strawberries and will refigerate for up to 3 weeks. WE TRIED THIS 1/21/13, IT WAS QUITE GOOD.
