Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken
  • 3 qts. water
  • 1 small cabbage, sliced in narrow ribbons
  • 6 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 bunch celery, sliced on diagonal, include leaves
  • 1/2 teasp. garlic powder
  • 1 teasp oregano
  • 2 knorrs chicken cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley

Preparation

Step 1



Put all ingredients in a large dutch oven, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Remove chicken and pull meat off bones and add back to soup.
