Meatballs with pineapple

Ingredients

  • 1 15oz can pineapple chunks
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1/3 c apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c dark brown sugar
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 1 t worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 1/2 c italian bread crumbs
  • 1 T onion powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced

Step 1

Turn on slow cooker to med/high. stir the juice from the pineapple, soy sauce, vinegar and brown sugar together in slow cooker. Whisk the cornstarch in until dissolved.

Mix the ground beef, egg, W sauce, milk, bread crumbs, onion powder, salt and pepper in a bowl- form into one inch balls.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and then place into slow cooker. Add pineapple chunks (bell pepper saute separately).

Cover and cook on low for a couple hours.
