Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Clove Garlic crushed
  • 2 Carrots chopped small
  • 1 Medium Sweet Onion chopped fine
  • 2 15.3 oz. cans Black Beans
  • 1 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin and Oregeno
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • Goya Adobo to taste or packet
  • 2 Tablespoons White Vinegar
  • Black Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oil in pot over medium-high
heat. Add garlic and all
seasonings except adobo and cook
about 30 seconds.
2. Add vegetables and saute, stirring
frequently about 10 minutes or
until tender.
3. Add chicken broth, beans, brown
sugar and vinegar and bring to a
boil.
4. Reduce heat to low and sinner
uncovered about 15 minutes or until
soup thickens.
5. Remove bay leaves and season with
adobo before serving.
Make it special - Add ham, bacon, bell pepper or anything that sounds good.
