Ingredients
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernals
- 1 T. neutral oil, such as peanut oil
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- 3 T. butter if desired (not needed)

MICROWAVE VERSION
Mix 1/2 cup kernels with 1 tsp canola oil and 1/2 tsp salt in a cup, then transfer to a brown paper lunch bag. Fold top over twice. Pop for about 2 minutes, or until popping is 2 to 3 seconds apart.
A second recipe calls for 1/3 cup kernels, 1 teaspoon oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and for the bag to be placed on a paper towel in the microwave.
