Jets Manhattan Clam Chowder

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, cut up
  • 2 small onions, cut up
  • 1/2 green pepper chopped
  • 6 diced potatoes
  • 3 , 6 1/2 oz minced clams with liquid
  • 1 teasp. pepper
  • 1 teasp thyme
  • 2 stalks celery
  • dash cayenne pepper
  • 1 quart clamato
  • 3 cups tomato juice

Preparation

Step 1



In dutch oven, cook bacon until crisp and save drippings. Add onion, green pepper and celery. Saute for 5 mins

Add potatoes and cook until potatoes are tender. Add tomato juice and clams.
