Ingredients
- 1 cup of butter
- ½ cup of fruit sugar
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ½ cup of rice flour
Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix dry ingredients and cut in butter. With hands work until mixture clings together.
2. Press on cookie sheet.
3. Bake at 300 40-60 minutes.
Ginger Shortbread
Add ½ to 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger and ¼ cup of candied ginger chopped to the basic recipe.
Almond Shortbread
Add ¾ cup of ground almonds and ¼ teaspoon almond flavoring to basic recipe. If desired, mix ½ cup of finely chopped glace cherries.
