Raw Apple Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c sugar
• 1/4 c shortening
• 1 c flour
• 1 egg
• 1/4 t salt
• 1 t soda
• 1/2 t nutmeg
• 1/2 t cinnamon
• 1/2 c nuts
• 4 small grated and peeled apples (1 1/2 c)

Preparation

Step 1

mix ingredients and pour in 9" square pan. Bake @ 350* for 35-40 minutes.

Sauce

3/4 c sugar
1 cube butter
1/2 c cream or half and half
1 1/2 t vanilla
4 T corn starch
Mix and boil.
Pour over cake slices
