Mint Brownies

Ingredients

  • Layer 1: Brownies
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick oleo (Imperial works well)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 16-oz can Hersheys syrup
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • Mix and spread in 9” x 13” pan. Bake 25-30 min. at 325. Refrigerate until cool.
  • Layer 2: Mint
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Milk
  • 1 tsp. Peppermint extract
  • green food coloring
  • Mix with beater and spread on cool brownies.

Preparation

Step 1

Layer 3 – Chocolate top
Melt together: 1 stick oleo
1 cup chocolate chips (6 oz.)
3 Tbsp. Shaved paraffin
Cool slightly and pour over mint layer. Tip pan to cover all. Refrigerate. Cut with wet knife.
