Ingredients
- 8 oz fresh green beans
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 medium shallots , or 1/3 C chopped onion and 1 chopped garlic clove
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
- 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation
Step 1
1 Wash and trim beans. Remove skin from shallot and chop finely.
2 In medium covered saucepan, bring water and salt to boil. Cook beans, uncovered, for 3 minutes or until tender. Drain and rinse under cold water.
3 In empty saucepan, over medium high, heat 1 teaspoon olive oil. Add shallots and cook 3 minutes, stirring often. Add green beans and cook for 2 minutes, stirring often.
4 Add vinegar and cook for 30 seconds, stirring to coat.
5 Transfer to serving bowl. Sprinkle with almonds.
