Whole Citrus Margaritas

Farm freshness is the key here. Look for the citrus that is most in season and adjust the recipe. Tangerine, Meyer Lemons and Key Limes all have amazing flavor if you can find them.
All the flavor of citrus is locked up in the skins. This method extracts every bit of it for a once in a lifetime Margarita. You must try one!

Ingredients
- 2 navel oranges
- 1 lemon, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
- 1 lime, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup superfine sugar
- 6 tablespoons Cointreau
- 4 tablespoons triple sec
- 3/4 cup good quality tequila (best to use 100% agave "reposado")
- 6 cups ice
- Fine gray salt for the rims of the glasses

Step 1
Use a juicing machine for the oranges, lemon and lime. Whisk the juice with the sugar to dissolve then stir in the Cointreau, triple sec and tequila.
