Steak Soup-Plaza III copycat

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1/2 C flour
  • 8 C. hot water
  • 2 lbs. ground sirloin
  • 2 T. beef boullion granules
  • 1 C. onions, chopped
  • 1 C. carrots, diced
  • 1 C. celery, sliced
  • 2 C. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 28 oz. canned tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 T. Accent (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in stock pot.
Blend in flour to make a smooth paste.
Gradually add hot water a little at a time, whisking it smooth as you go.
Simmer until smooth.
Saute beef in a large skillet and drain off fat.
Add meat, boullion, all vegetables and seasonings to saucepan.
Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are cooked.
