Quick Skillet Cake

9" heavy cast-iron skillet

Ingredients

• 1 c flour
• 1/4 tsp baking powder
• pinch of salt
• 1 lg. eggs
• 1/2 c brown sugar
• 1/2 c sugar
• 1 stick butter melted
• 1/2 c walnuts finely chopped (opt)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven. Heavily butter skillet. Whisk together the flour baking powder and salt.
Whisk the eggs and sugar together. Add the butter and whisk till satiny. Stir in the flour mixure. whisk till smooth. Spread batter in the skillet and top with wallnuts. Bakk till toothpick inserted inthe center ofthe cake comes out clean. Serve slightly warm
