  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 t. soda
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • Frosting
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1/3 c. buttermilk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar (approx. 3 3/4 c.)



Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl mix flour, sugar, salt and soda; set aside.

In a saucepan combine oil, peanut butter and water and bring to a boil. Pour the hot mixture into the dry ingredients and mix. Add milk, eggs and vanilla and mix well. Pour into a 12x18 inch sheet cake pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

While cake is baking, combine in the same saucepan peanut butter, buttermilk and margarine; let melt together. Take off range and mix in vanilla and powdered sugar. When cake comes out of the oven, pour frosting on the hot cake and spread.
