Day Before Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1 t pepper
  • 1/2 C chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 C chopped red pepper
  • 7 T chili powder
  • 2 t garlic powder
  • 1 t hot pepper sauce
  • 2 15 oz cans of red kidney beans (drained)
  • 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 6 oz beer
  • 3 T ground cumin
  • 1 T worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Cook ground beef in olive oil with onion, garlic, salt and pepper until browned well in a large pot. Break up meat. Drain off fat. Add peppers, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and hot sauce. Continue to cook on low for 3 minutes while stirring. After 3 minutes, add the remaining ingredients and gentl bring to boil. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes then turn off heat and allow to cool. Reheat when ready to eat. Serve with grated cheese and chopped onion.
