    Ingredients

      pounds powered sugar

    • 2

      cups Crisco shortening (white)

    • cup boiling water

    • 2

      tablespoons vanilla extract

    • Pinch of salt

    • ½

      teaspoon glycerine (optional)

    Directions

    Add powdered sugar, crisco, and boiling water into a mixer or bowl. Mix on medium speed using a mixer or hand mixer for a couple of minutes. Add vanilla and salt. Add optional glycerine that will keep the frosting soft. Mix on high speed for 10 minutes.
