Chicken Breasts in Sherry

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • flour
  • 1 Can Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1 Can Cream of Celery soup
  • 1/2 C sherry
  • shredded cheddar
  • slice mushrooms and olives

Preparation

Step 1

Roll chicken in flour and brown in pan w/ shortening. Place in baking dish and season w/ salt and pepper. Mix soup and sherry in bowl (add sherry if needed). Pour mixture over chicken. Top w/ shredded cheddar and sliced mushrooms and olives.
Cover w/ foil and bake 1 hr @ 350* or 2 1/2 hrs @ 275*. Uncover the last hour so gravy thickens.
Can substitute cream of mushroom soup. Goes well with rice.
