FRESH HORSERADISH SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup freshly grated horseradish or bottled
  • 3 tablespoons minced shallots
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1-1/2 cups heavy cream
  • Salt and white pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan combine horseradish, shallots, garlic, mustard and cream. Season with salt and pepper. Bring liquid to a boil, whisking gently. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thick enough to coat back of spoon for about 12 minutes. Remove from heat and keep warm.
