NUT GOODIE BARS

Ingredients

  • 12 OZ. chocolate
  • 12 oz. butterscotch
  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 2 cups peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 3-3/4 oz. vanilla pudding (not instant)
  • 2 lbs. powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Grease jelly roll pan.

Melt chocolate and butterscotch in a double boiler, add peanut butter. Stir well.

Spread 1/2 mixture in pan and chill.

Stir peanuts into remaining mixture and set aside.

In large pan over low heat, melt margarine or butter. Slowly add in evaporated milk, stir in pudding mix.

Cook stirring constantly until slightly thick.

DO NOT BOIL

Remove and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over chilled chocolate.

Drop reserved powdered sugar and villa. Spread over chilled chocolate.

Drop reserved mixture on top and spread.

Chill.

Cut and store in refrigerator covered.
