    loaf of french bread

    large eggs

    cups half and half

  • 1

    cup milk

    tablespoons granulated sugar

    teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/4

    teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4

    teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • salt

  • praline topping, maple syrup or honey

  • 2

    sticks butter

    cup packed light brown sugar

  • 1

    cup chopped pecan

  • 2

    tablespoons light corn syrup

    teaspoon ground cinnamon

    teaspoon nutmeg

Directions

Slice french breach into 20 slices 1 inch each. Arrange slices in butter 9 x 13 flat baking dish overlapping. combine egg, half and half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and beat. whisk until blended. Pour over bread cover with foil and refrigerate. Next day preheat oven to 350. Spread praline topping over bread and bake 40 mins. Until buffed and light golden.
