RUSSIAN TEACAKES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2-1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by sifting. Stir flour and salt together. Mix in pecans. Chill dough.

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place on UNGREASED baking sheet. Cookies do not spread while baking.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set but not brown. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool. Roll in powdered sugar again.

Makes about 4 dozen 1-inch cookies.
