Strawberries with Raspberry Sauce

This recipe is ridiculously simple but berries at their peak deliver full flavor. Be sure to allow the time for the strawberries to macerate in the sauce - and don't serve them too cold.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 pint fresh raspberries
  • Superfine sugar to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Stem the strawberries and place in a serving bowl. Puree the raspberries in a blender or food processor with only as much sugar as you need to sweeten them to taste. Strain to remove the seeds and pour over the strawberries. Set aside at room temperature for a half hour before serving.
