BROWN SUGAR SAUCE (GINGERBREAD)

Emma's accompaniment to her gingerbread recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first four (4) ingredients in saucepan. Heat for 3-5 minutes (becomes clear). Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.

Serve warm or cold.
