Toll house pie

Ingredients

  • pie crust
  • 1/3 cup shortening or 1/3 cup lard
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2-3 tbsp. cold water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter,melted and cooled at room temp
  • 1 (6oz.) pkg 1 cup semi sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 325

-Cut shortening,flour,salt,until it looks like tiny peas
-Sprinkle with water
-In large bowl beat eggs until foamy
-Add flour,sugar and brown sugar;beat until well blended
-Blend in butter,Stir in chips and walnuts
-Pour into pie plate
-Bake until set,about 1 hr
-Serve warm with whipped creams and ice cream
