JEAN’S TURKEY DRESSING

A very good dressing, much dryer than my mom's but very very tasty!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bread dried in an oven at 200 degrees. Dry completely out. Put in plastic bag and roll out with rolling pin.
  • 4 cups dry bread
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 slightly beaten egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt (scant)
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning or sage
  • 3 tablespoons chopped onion

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter, cook onion and celery with cover on.

Add to crumbs with other ingredients.

After mixing, add milk, a little at a time until it sticks together.

Stuff turkey and bake.
