AUNT RUTH’S CHICKEN BREASTS IN RICE

Very good and comfort food. Easy to make and the whole family likes.

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups Minute Rice (regular or premium)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons chopped onion, can use dehydrated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

Preparation

Step 1

Brown chicken breasts.
Put rice in 8-1/2 x 11” Pyrex dish.
Cook the chicken soup, onions, spices and water until hot.
Pour all but ½ cup of it over rice and stir up.

Lay chicken breasts on rice and pour last ½ cup over chicken breasts.
Put paprika on.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake 35 minutes in a 350 degree oven for one hour.
