Spaghetti with Smothered Onions

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoon bacon drippings
- 1 1/2 lbs onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 8 oz spaghetti, cooked
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Preparation
Step 1
Heat drippings in a heavy skillet; add onions.
Cover, reduce heat to low and cook 45 minutes.
Uncover and cook over medium heat, stiring often, until onion browns and liquid evaporates.
Add salt, pepper, and wine. Cook until wine evaporates. Toss with pasta, parsley and cheese.
