Ingredients

  • BOTTOM LAYER:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup icing sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or hard margarine, softened
  • TOP LAYER
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup medium coconut
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

BOTTOM LAYER: Mix all 3 ingredients until crumbly. Pack in ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Bake in 350 oven for 12 minutes.

TOP LAYER: Beat eggs together well in bowl. Add brown sugar and vanilla. Beat.

Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.

Add walnuts, coconut and chocolate chips. Stir. Spread over bottom layer. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes more.
