Preparation
Step 1
In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients; best at medium speed, scraping sides of bowl often, until well mixed. Pour mixture into a greased 15x10x1 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes, or until bar springs back when touched lightly in center. Cool, frost and cut into bars.
Frosting:
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
2 tsp vanilla
2-4 T milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
In small mixer bowl, combine all frosting ingredients, except nuts. Beat at medium speed, scraping sides of bowl often. Stir in nuts.
Bars are even more delicious if made the day before you plan to serve them. May be frozen.
