Ingredients
- 8 oz uncooked mostaccioli
- 1/2 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can 14.5oz diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can 6oz tomato paste
- 1/3 c water
- 1 t dried oregano
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/8 t pepper
- 2 c fat free cottage cheese
- 1 t dried marjoram
- 1 1/2 c shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 c grated parmesan
Preparation
Step 1
Cook noodles as directed on package. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook turkey and onion over med heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain.
Stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste, water, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 min.
In a small bowl, combine cottage cheese and marjoram, set aside. Drain noodles.
Spread 1/2 c meat sauce into a 11x7 pan coated with Pam. Layer with half of the noodles, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Top with cottage cheese mix. Layer with remaining noodles, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 30-40 min or until bubbly and heated through.
