Ingredients

    lb. tenderized round steak

  • 3

    Tbls. flour

  • 1/2

    tsp. salt

  • 1/8

    tsp. pepper

  • 1-2

    Tbls. oil

  • 1

    small onion, chopped

  • 4 oz. can mushrooms, stems and pieces

  • 2

    Tbls. water or mushroom liquid

  • 1

    cup sour cream

  • 1

    tsp. minced parsley

Directions

Cut steak into serving pieces. Coat with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. In large fry pan, brown meat in hot oil*. Drain excess fat. Add onion, mushrooms and water. Reduce heat and simmer covered 5 minutes. Add sour cream and parsley and heat through (do not boil). *(If meat is not tenderized, add ΒΌ cup water and simmer 1-1/4 hours until tender.)
