Ingredients
- 24 oz. cream cheese (room temperature and broken up)
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Beat cream cheese until softened and add egg and 1 cup sugar, salt and extract. Beat until smooth and thick (lemon colored).
Pour in buttered 9" spring form pan.
Bake in 325 degree oven 45-50 minutes.
Start checking it at 30 minutes. When it won't hold a dent the cake is done.
Remove and let cool 20 minutes.
Don't turn off oven. Meanwhile mix together the sour cream, 2 tbsp. sugar and vanilla and pour over cake. Return to oven for 10 minutes. Cool. Chill.
Double recipe for a larger spring form pan.
