Cheese Pancakes

  • 1 pound pot cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seed or vegetable oil

Step 1

Beat the egg with sugar and vanilla sugar in a medium-sized bowl.
Pour the sweet egg mixture into the pot cheese.
Add the flour and mix it all thoroughly.
Form pot cheese balls.
Roll them in the flour on a cutting board and press each ball a bit on the top to form a pancake.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the cheese pancakes 3 minutes on each side. They should get brown but the pot cheese shouldn't melt inside a pancake (see the photo).
Let them cool for 10-15 minutes after frying.
