Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp ground cloves
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 cup butter (unsalted at room temp)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg white mixed with 1 tbsp water
Preparation
Step 1
Combine flour, cinnamon, giner, cloves, salt, nutmeg and cardamom in bowl.
Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Stir in flour mixture. Divide dough in half, flatten into disks and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
On lightly floured surface, roll out half of dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Brush with egg white.
Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes. Remove to racks to cool.
