Ingredients
- Tart dough:
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tb lemon zest
- 1 Tb orange zest
- 2 1/3 cups cold butter
- 1 egg
- 2 yolks
- 2 Tb cold water
- Creamy easy tart filling:
- 5 oz cream cheese room temp
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tsp citrus juice
- 2 tsp zest
Preparation
Step 1
Tart dough:
Put flour, sugar, salt & zesty in mixer w/ paddle. Add butter in 1 tb cold chunks at slow speed mix until it looks like oatmeal. Add yolks & egg & water. Let paddle make 3 Rounds. Knead dough & shape 4" around. Use 1 oz of dough for every inch of tart pan diameter. Pat into pan & put in weights. Bake at 450 degrees for 13-14 min. Remove weights & bake for 5 more min. Cool & fill.
Filling:
Beat together cream cheese & sugar, add sour cream, juice & zest. Beat, chill & fill tart shell.
