Chicken Pot Pie w/ Onion Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (1.8oz) classic white sauce mix
  • 2 3/4 c. milk, divided
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 pkg. frozen peas & carrots, thawed (10oz)
  • 1 pkg. roasted carved chicken breast (10oz), cubed
  • 1 c. baking mix
  • 1 1/3 c. French Fried Onions, divided
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400. Prepare white sauce according to package directions w/ 2 1/4 c. milk; stir in thyme. Mix veggies, chicken, and prepared sauce in shallow 2qt casserole dish.

Combine the baking mix, 2/3c. french onions, and remaining 1/2 c. milk in med. bowl till blended. Drop 6-8 spoonfuls of dough over chicken mixture.

Bake 25 mins. or till biscuits are golden. Sprinkle biscuits w/ cheese and remaining 2/3 c. onions. Bake 3 mins. or till cheese is melted and onions are golden.
