Ingredients

  • Sticks Margarine, melt then add:
  • 4 Tbsp Cocoa
  • C Water: Bring 1st three ingredients to boil. Remove from heat, then add:
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 C Sugar
  • 2 C All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 C Buttermilk or 1/2 pt Sour Cream
  • Frosting:
  • 1 Stick (1/2 C) Margarine
  • 4 Tbsp Cocoa
  • Tbsp Milk: bring first three ingredients to a boil, remove from heat. Then add:
  • 1 lb. Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 C Nuts, optional
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Step 1

Cake:
Pour into a Lg. greased jelly roll pan.

Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes

Filling:
Cool before frosting cake
