AUNT PATTY’S CROCKPOT FRENCH ONION SOUP

Ingredients

  • 6 cups diced onion
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 (10 oz) cans beef broth
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 bay leaves
  • Toasted French bread slices
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in a frypan and sauté onion until tender. Transfer to crockpot. Add bee broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt and bay leaves. Cover and cook for 5 to 7 hours.

To serve, ladle into bowls. Top each serving with toasted French bread and spinrkle with parmesan cheese.
