IRENE NORDHOLM’S SANDWICH RECIPE

When Irene would have Verne's family and our family over, she would make these. As kids we ate a lot and she didn't make many so we would eat them all right away.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound big bologna
  • 3/4 pound sharp American cheese
  • 1/4 cup prepared mustard
  • 1/3 cup salad dressing
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 2 tablespoon chopped sweet pickle

Preparation

Step 1

Grind bologna and cheese. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Cut coney buns in half; spread with butter and filling. Wrap each bun in aluminum foil or wax paper. Heat in slow oven (325 degrees) for 25 minutes.

Serves 12.
